Seriously. I never thought I would have to worry one day about THIS specific dilemma but 10kg of pure cuteness does change you in ways you would never have thought imaginable.
Hubby has always been a big Zoo fan – me not so much. Since we moved to London, he kept lobbying for us to go and spend an afternoon there but I managed to avoid it so far. But with baby now in the balance it is a 2 against 1 vote so I caved in.
Then came the sartorial question. My 1st instinct as to Google literally “what to wear to the zoo?”. The answers thought me 2 things: 1)teenagers are obsessed with Zoo outfits, ii) the lead option of T-Shirt/Shorts/Snickers does not really cut it for me as we are mid March AND I simply don’t do snickers.
Well. I had the intense feeling I was not going to enjoy our little afternoon in Battersea park baby Zoo but I sure as well wanted to feel good doing just that (very confusing sentence I know).
What are the criteria then? i) casual …as in Sunday and Zoo, ii) stylish…as in different, researched, iii) effortless…as I like to think is me and iv) comfortable .. as in running after a toddler and from scary animals.
Winner: Long Green Cotton Dress (GAP), Tailored dark Jeans’ jacket (GAP), the infamous Brown Uggs and my staple beige scarf (H&M via little Sis).
And you know what? I actually LOVED our Zoo adventure J
Bisous bisous
