If you are ever looking for me on any given week-end, chances are you will probably find me…at some kids playground.
Now, although in the above picture, I seem a bit blasée – trust me I am not, I was only trying to show off my new hair cut…mmm not quite the model…remind self to stick to the day job – it is actually quite a lot of fun!
You just need to be dressed for it.
I have been through quite a lot of 1)short skirts dilemmas (you basically can’t move, bend, run or anything to the big frustration of your toddler who really doesn’t get how clothes could be a restrain), 2) long skirts dilemmas (you end up walking on your hemlines which in best cases leads to a big mess and in worst case in you actually tripping over) and 3) white/cream/light coloured jeans (ha ha ha … how naive).
So, introducing my playground Spring Uniform:
1. My trusted Parka (GAP) – to shield from that very windy and chilly London Spring …despite the very deceptive bright sun (proof that it does not ALWAYS rain in London).
2. My 2nd skin black jeans (GAP) – with just the right amount of elastic in the fabric to be able to accommodate all the flexible movement that come with a toddler in a playground ( squatting on the floor to catch them – coming head first of course- from the slide, folding myself to an 1/8 of my volume to get into the mini train with the Little Man, ridding on the Seesew and the list goes on).
3. My Jeans Shirt (GAP, again, I know it’s getting boring) – just because I love it. I have been on the hunt of the perfect shirt forever and I got this one for £10 courtesy of my mum’s eagle eye sale shopping. You actually can’t see it in the picture as I have learned my lesson on not stripping down from my coat-when-it-is-freezing-if-I want-to-avoid-a-chest-infection just for the sake of a picture. I would take a lot for my lovely readers…but being ill for like 6 weeks is probably the limit, don’t you agree?
4. My Gold trainers (Ash). I just LOVE them. And find them SOOOOO comfy (probably because I haven’t worn trainers since the 90s).
And, oh, if we can coordinate with Hubby and the Little Man, always a (cheesy) bonus
Any suggestions of alternative “playground wear” options?
Bisous bisous.

I think that you have a definite talent writer, and you have a real support from K who does his best as reporter, and up of all Little man contribution as mannequin. His little feet in the shoes picture is marvellous.
thank you so much
